ASSEMBLINg THE WHEELS AND SADDLE
1. The rear wheel (1) is pre-mounted. Only the front wheel (2) needs to be
assembled. Insert the screw (13) through hole on the front fender (12a) and
the front wheel fork (3). Place the rear fender (12b) and base disc on the
screw, (13) and turn the nut with the suitable tool. Make sure that both parts
of the fender are positioned straight over the wheel.
2. Position the rear fender (14) over the hole on the rear cycle fork and insert
the screw (13) from top through the fender and the hole. Position the base
disc from bottom into the screw end and fasten the nut with the suitable tool.
Make sure that the fender is positioned on the top center of the wheel.
3. Mount the saddle (6). (Ill. 1)
ASSEMBLINg THE HANDLEBAR
Insert the guide bushes (10) into the frame. Position the plastic washer (10a)
on top of it. Insert the front wheel rod (3) from bottom through the frame (Ill. 1).
Insert the bracket (11) in the top end of the rod, until it is flush with the guide
bush bottom. Attach the handlebar (8) parallel to the front wheel (2). This means
that the front wheel should stay straight without handlebar impact. Insert the
handlebar from top into the front wheel rod tube.
If required, fasten the bag (17) with the Velcro straps on the handlebar. Finally,
fasten the handlebar pad (7) with the Velcro straps to the handlebar.
HEIgHT SETTINgS Of HANDLEBAR AND SADDLE
We have designed this trainer bike in cooperation with the Bergisches Institut
to meet the ergonomic requirements of children: because your child’s growth
varies for all body parts! During physical spurts, legs, torso and arms grow at
different times. In order to always ensure the ideal position, the handlebar and
saddle can be readjusted. The height of the handlebar can be adjusted between
52 cm and 62 cm. The saddle’s range of adjustment is 33 cm to 45 cm, where
the distance from the handlebar changes accordingly. The saddle can be pushed
back or pulled forward, if required. The correct height of the saddle is when the
soles of the shoes completely touch the ground when the legs are stretched a
little. The correct distance from the handle bar is if the grips can be gripped with
stretched arms and the back is nearly straight. The height of the grip must be
adjusted according to the rider. Riders with a little more experience wish to lean
forward a little (so that the legs swing backwards a little). Beginners prefer to
keep a straighter position.
If required, open the lock. Move the handle bar to the desired height. Keep in
mind that the ‘Max’ marking on the handlebar is never exceeded. Fasten the
lock (10 Nm).
In order to adjust the saddle height, loosen the quick-release lock. Keep in mind
that the ‘Max’ marking on the saddle rod is never exceeded! Tighten the quick-
release lock by first manually tightening the knurled nuts and then turning quick
release clamp.
Please use a suitable tool to move the saddle forward and backward. The nut
(21) must be loosened to move the saddle. After adjusting the nut, retighten the
nut so that the saddle doesn‘t move when the bike is being used.
Ensure that the quick release is fixed on the handle bar after the assembly and
the handlebar cannot be turned against the front wheel rod and is firmly on the
saddle support. The quick release may not be opened by a child in any case!
