Profibus – Module description

Poti Splindle
It displays the actual position of the spindel
potentiometer
length of data:
1 byte
possible values:
0 – 31

Poti Feed
It displays the actual position of the feed
potentiometer
length of data:
1 byte
possible values:
0 – 31
3.
Buttons 1-16
Displays the actual setting of the buttons, every bit
belongs to one button.
length of data:
2 byte (dataword)
possible values:
0 – 65535
Bit positions:

Encoder
Displays the position of the encoder in the hand
terminal as a 16 bit counter.
Alternative you can use the A/B signals on the
connector X2. This signals can be connected
directly to the control unit (Siemens 810D + 840D
X121 pin 15, 18, 34, 37).

Status
Displays the status of the HBG 800-DP

0 – 255
Meaning of the bits:
Bit 0:
1 – wireless connection active
Bit 1:
1 – error during initialization of theHBG 800
Bit 2:
1 – no serial communication between the
connecting adaptor and the acess point
Bit 3:
1 – handterminal is in the charging station

LED's 1-12
To control the LED's in the hand terminal. Every bit
belongs to one LED.

Text line 1
12 bytes to control the first line of the LCD display.
The characters must be written in ASCII format.

Text line 2
12 bytes to control the second line of the LCD
display. The characters must be written in ASCII
format.
