Electronic circuits and components are sensitive to electrostatic discharge (ESD). When
handling circuit boards, make sure that you wear a well-grounded ESD wrist strap, and only
hold the boards by their edges during operation.
When unpacking circuit boards, pay attention to the following:
ESD measures must be employed to prevent damage to the equipment.
Note the effect of the environmental temperature and humidity on the circuit boards.
When boards are moved from a cold dry place to a hot damp place, wait at least 30
minutes before unpacking. Otherwise, water condensed on the surface may damage the
boards.
To unpack boards, do the following:
1.
Check that there is no evident damage to the board package.
2.
Put on an ESD wrist strap and ground it securely.
3.
Open the package and check whether the board is intact.
For boards that have already been removed from their cartons:
If you want to install the boards immediately after unpacking them, place them on an
antistatic surface to discharge any buildup of static electricity, and refer to the relevant
later sections for installation.
If you want to install the boards at a later time, pack the boards using the original
materials and place them in a cool dry place with no direct sunshine or strong
electromagnetic radiation.
Acceptance After Unpacking
After unpacking, check the goods as follows:
1.
Check the number and type of the equipment inside the case against the
Packing List
,
and accept them.
2.
If shortage or miscarriage is identified, fill in the
Cargo Shortage and Miscarriage
Report
.
3.
If damage is identified, fill in the
Cargo Replacement Application Form
. Meanwhile, the
supervisor must fill in the
Cargo Shortage and Miscarriage Report
and submit it to the
local Huawei representative office within three days.
4.
If the delivered equipment is inconsistent with the stipulated items, move the unpacked
equipment indoors for proper storage. Take photos of the storage site, rusty or corroded
equipment, packing cases, and packaging materials. Keep these photos and store the
unpacked packing cases and packaging materials.
5.
Confirm that the cartons are empty before throwing them away.
6.
After check, the project supervisor and the users must sign the
Packing List
together to
confirm the operation.
Checking the Devices
Before installing the telepresence system, you must check the devices and mechanical parts to
ensure that they meet the requirements described in
