9 Installing Devices

Loosen the screws in the left and right sides of the cabinet door and remove the door.

Follow-up Procedure

After the telepresence system is installed and commissioned, check whether the

multi-functional conference table is stable. If it is not stable, adjust the foot bolts in the

equipment cabinet until the cabinet withstands the multi-functional conference table, and

install the cabinet door.

9.2.4 Installing PDUs

Background

The telepresence system provides six power distribution units (PDUs). Their installation

locations are shown in

Figure 9-1

and

Figure 9-2

. Their functions are listed in the following:



PDU 1: 7-outlet PDU, installed on the right rack and used to supply power to the three

codecs.



PDU 2: 5-outlet PDU, installed on the center rack and used to supply power to the left

and right subordinate speakers.



PDU 3: 5-outlet PDU, installed on the left rack and used to supply power to the wireless

router.



PDU 4: 5-outlet PDU, installed in the equipment cabinet and used to supply power to the

main speaker.



PDU 5: 7-outlet PDU, installed on the center rack and used to supply power to the three

HD displays.



PDU 6: 5-outlet PDU, installed in the equipment cabinet and used to supply power to the

multi-functional sockets.

Procedure

Step 1

Attach mounting ears to PDUs 2, 3, 4, and 6 and install the PDUs on the corresponding

locations on the racks. Install the remaining PDUs in the equipment cabinet.

Step 2

Vertically install the PDUs on the racks, with one side outwards, as shown in

Figure 9-11
