Objective
To verify the RAID state migration function for the LSI SAS2308
Test Networking

Preset Conditions
Two servers are available and powered on, and the hard disks are detected.
Test Procedures
1.
Press
Ctrl+C
in the POST phase. The screen for configuring the LSI SAS2308
properties is displayed.
2.
Select two hard disks, and configure RAID 1 properties for the hard disks. For
details, see case T05-01.
3.
Power off the server, and remove the power cables.
4.
Remove the two RAID 1 member disks from the server in step 2, and install
them on another server that has the same configurations as the previous one.
For details about how to verify RAID properties, see case T01-0501.
5.
Power on the latter server in step 4. Press
Ctrl+C
in the POST phase. The
screen for configuring the LSI SAS2308 is displayed.
6.
Select
LSISAS2308
and press
Enter
.
7.
Select
RAID Properties
and press
Enter
.
8.
Select
Manage Array
and press
Enter
. Then select
Activate Array
on the
displayed screen.
Expected Result
RAID 1 properties are successfully activated on the new server.
Test Description
This case uses RAID 1 properties supported by the LSI2308 as an example.

To verify the RAID state migration function for the LSI SAS2208

Ctrl+H
in the POST phase. The window for configuring the LSI SAS2208
is displayed.
2.
Select all the hard disks, and configure RAID 5 properties for the hard disks.
