12 Troubleshooting

Problem

Solution
occurs at the remote site.
In this case, contact the chair
site to resolve this problem.
No sound pickup device, such
as a microphone, is connected
to the audio input port. In this
case, set the audio source again
or connect a sound pickup
device to the corresponding
port.
The related sound pickup
device is powered off. In this
case, power on the device.
The audio cable is connected
insecurely. In this case,
reconnect the audio cable to the
endpoint.
While the endpoint
is in use during a
conference, only the
sound from your
site can be delivered
from the display
device and you
cannot hear other
sites.
A loopback test is being
performed at your site.
Stop all local and remote loopback
tests.

remote site cannot
call each other using
site numbers.
Your site or the remote site
has not registered with a GK.
A GK is responsible for
translating site numbers into
IP addresses. If either your
site or the remote site does not
register with a GK, the
translation cannot be
implemented, and your site
cannot place a call to the
remote site using the site
number.
If a remote site places a call to
your site by site number, it
Verify GK registration settings
and register your site and the
remote site with a GK.
