Appendix 1 Resolution

Type
Description
1080P
1080P is the shorthand identification for a set of high-definition
television video modes that are characterized by 1080 horizontal
lines of vertical resolution and progressive scan, meaning the image
is not interlaced as is the case with the 1080P display standard. The
resolution is 1920 x 1080 (about 2,000,000) pixels.
720P
720P is the shorthand name for 1280 x 720, a category of
high-definition television video modes having a resolution of 720P
(for a total of 0.92 megapixels) and a progressive scan.
D1_PAL
D1_PAL, short for Phase Alternating Line, is an analog television
color encoding system used in broadcast television systems having
a resolution of 720 x 576 (about 400,000 pixels).
D1_NTSC
D1_NTSC, short for the National Television System Committee, is
an analog television color encoding system used in broadcast
television systems having a resolution of 720 x 480 (about 340,000
pixels).
