2 Using email
The instructions below apply to all email
accounts you have successfully set up.
Remember: data over Wi-Fi is unlimited

home and in BT FON and BT Openzone

which means you can email as much as you like
at no extra cost and at broadband speeds.
To read your email
1. From the Home Screen, select the Email
icon
. A small number indicates how
many new messages you have in total.
2. Select your email account –
your Inbox is displayed.
3. Scroll UP or DOWN using the navigation
control to highlight the message you
want and click on it to read it.
To send an email
1. From the Home Screen, select Email
.
2. Select your email account
.
3. Your Inbox is displayed.
4. Select Menu using the right soft key and then
select New. To select a recipient either enter
the email address or click in the To: field to
add an address from your stored contacts.
When writing an email address, enter
@ by pressing then N.
Your email settings
The default settings on all email accounts have
been designed to keep data costs down and to
reduce battery consumption. These are as follows:
• Your phone will Automatically Send/Receive
email every 30 minutes. If you need to check
your email within the 30 minutes, simply go to
your inbox, select Menu and then Send/Receive.
• Your inbox will only display emails received
in the last three days (ie if you haven’t
received any emails in the last three
days your inbox will appear empty).
• Large emails will only partially download.
To read the full message, click on the
link at the bottom of the message then
select Menu then Send/Receive.
To change your email settings, go to the inbox
for the relevant email account and select Menu,
Tools, Options, Account Settings and then scroll
through (by pressing Next) and edit as required.
