6 . Use
Refer t o t he illustrat ions on page 2 of this m anual.
•
Connect t he device t o t he m ains [ 6 ] and flick the power switch [ 7 ] at t he back of t he device t o ON.
Aft er t he warm - up t im e ( approx. 4 m inut es) the device is ready for use. The red indicat or light [ 4 b]
is now lit.
•
Act ivate/ deactivate t he sm oke output wit h t he push but t on [ 4 a] .
•
I t m ay happen that the standby lam p on the controller [ 4 ] is off and t he sm oke em ission st ops, even
while you are holding t he but t on. I n t his case the device is warm ing up again and will be ready t o
resum e operation in a few m inutes' tim e. This process guarantees an appropriate vaporisation
t em perat ure and t he best sm oke em ission possible.
7 . Cleaning and Maint enance
1. All screws should be tightened and free of corrosion.
2. Mechanically m oving parts m ust not show any signs of wear and tear.
3. The electric power supply cables m ust not show any dam age. Have a qualified technician m aintain
the device.
4. Disconnect t he device from t he m ains prior t o m aint enance activities.
5. Wipe the device regularly with a m oist, lint- free cloth. Do not use alcohol or solvents.
6. There are no user- serviceable parts, apart from the fuse (see “
5 . I nst allat ion ” ) .
7. Cont act your dealer for spare parts if necessary.
8. Clean t he heat ing elem ent aft er every 30 hours of use with a special cleaning liquid available from
your dealer. Fill the t ank wit h the cleaning liquid and let t he m achine run for a while. When t he
device is cleaned, rem ove the rem aining cleaning liquid and rinse t he t ank t horoughly wit h distilled
wat er. Never use regular wat er for cleaning or rinsing!
