WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or burns after removing the energy pack:
• Do not disassemble, crush, or puncture the energy pack.
• Do not short external contacts.
• Do not dispose of the energy pack in fire or water.
After power is disconnected, battery voltage might still be present for 1s to 160s.
CAUTION: Protect the system board module from power fluctuations and temporary interruptions with a regulating
UPS. This device protects the hardware from damage caused by power surges and voltage spikes and keeps the
system board module in operation during a power failure.
CAUTION: To prevent damage to electrical components, properly ground the server before beginning any
installation procedure. Improper grounding can cause electrostatic discharge. For more information, refer to
"
CAUTION: To avoid data loss, Hewlett Packard Enterprise recommends that you back up all server data before
installing or removing a hardware option, or performing a server maintenance or troubleshooting procedure.
CAUTION: To prevent improper airflow and insufficient cooling that can lead to thermal damage, observe the
following:
• Do not operate the chassis without the access panel, baffles, or blanks installed.
• Do not operate the server without the baffles, expansion slot covers, or blanks installed.
CAUTION: When performing non-hot-plug operations, you must power down the system board module and/or the
system. However, it may be necessary to leave the system board module powered up when performing other
operations, such as hot-plug installations or troubleshooting.
CAUTION: Do not operate the server for long periods with the access panel open or removed. Operating the server
in this manner results in improper airflow and improper cooling that can lead to thermal damage.
