12. If internal cables are required for the expansion board or storage controller, connect the cables.
13. Install the PCIe riser into the system board.
14. Install the midplane interposer on the system board module.
15. Install the system board module access panel.
16. Install the system board module into the chassis.
17. Connect all peripheral cables to the server.
19. Configure the new storage controller.

GPU options
The server supports a maximum of 4 SXM4 GPUs in the SXM GPU tray option, or 4 double-width PCIe GPUs or 8 single-
width PCIe GPUs in the PCIe GPU tray option per system board module. The GPU slots are mapped in 1:1 GPU to PCIe
riser board ratio.

Before installing this option, be sure that you have the following:
• The components included with the hardware option kit
• Four 12 V power supplies installed in the chassis, if installing a PCIe GPU tray
• Four 54 V power supplies and two 12 V power supplies installed in the chassis, if installing an SXM4 GPU tray
