Replacing Hardware

Replacing Mini-GBICs

To remove a mini-GBIC with a wire bail:

1. Remove the fiber cable from the mini-GBIC.

2. Lower the bail until it is approximately horizontal.

3. Using the bail, pull the mini-GBIC from the slot.

4. If the mini-GBIC is not defective (disposable), protect it by inserting a dust

plug.
