Configuration procedure
1.
Assign IP addresses and configure unicast routing:
a.
Assign an IP address and subnet mask to each interface according to
shown.)
b.
Configure OSPF on the routers in the PIM-DM domain to make sure they are interoperable at
the network layer. (Details not shown.)
2.
Enable IP multicast routing, and enable PIM-DM and IGMP:
# Enable IP multicast routing on Router A, enable PIM-DM on each interface, and enable IGMP on
Ethernet 1/1, which connects Router A to N1.
<RouterA> system-view
[RouterA] multicast routing-enable
[RouterA] interface ethernet 1/1
[RouterA-Ethernet1/1] igmp enable
[RouterA-Ethernet1/1] pim dm
[RouterA-Ethernet1/1] quit
[RouterA] interface serial 2/0
[RouterA-Serial2/0] pim dm
[RouterA-Serial2/0] quit
The configuration on Router B and Router C is similar to that on Router A.
# Enable IP multicast routing on Router D, and enable PIM-DM on each interface.
<RouterD> system-view
[RouterD] multicast routing-enable
[RouterD] interface ethernet 1/1
[RouterD-Ethernet1/1] pim dm
[RouterD-Ethernet1/1] quit
[RouterD] interface serial 2/0
[RouterD-Serial2/0] pim dm
[RouterD-Serial2/0] quit
[RouterD] interface pos 5/0
[RouterD-Pos5/0] pim dm
[RouterD-Pos5/0] quit
[RouterD] interface pos 5/1
[RouterD-Pos5/1] pim dm
[RouterD-Pos5/1] quit
