Installing and Configuring Mass Storage Devices

Hardware Installation for Drives

Hardware Installation for Drives

The following products are supported for mass storage in the Model 745. 
The mass storage module can hold up to five drives. All mass storage 
devices operate on the same single-ended narrow SCSI bus. 

There are two locations for a 5.25-inch device (one front facing and one rear 
facing) suitable for a removable media device or a fixed device. There are 
also two locations for a 3.5-inch device (one front facing and one rear fac-
ing) suitable for a removable media device or a fixed device. In addition, 
there is one location for a 3.5-inch fixed device. Included with the system 
are adapter brackets that allow mounting 3.5-inch devices in the 5.25-inch 
locations.
