Removing and Replacing Components

Removing and Replacing the Display Board

Step 5.

Gently unplug the midplane riser board connector cable from the display board and remove the
board from the chassis. Figure 4-44 shows how to remove the display board.

Replacing the Display Board

To replace the display board, follow these steps:

Step 1.

Gently plug in the midplane riser board cable into the display board.

Step 2.

Hold the display board in position near the chassis and rotate it into the retaining clip until it clicks
into place.

Step 3.

Replace the front cover. “Replacing the Front Cover” on page 43.

Step 4.

Replace the front bezel. “Replacing the Front Bezel” on page 41.

Step 5.

If rack mounted, slide the HP server into the rack until it stops. “Inserting the Server into the
Rack” on page 39.
