Locate the battery holder on the system board. Refer to Figure 3-8 and Table 3-1
in Chapter 3, “Installing Hardware Options.”

Remove the existing battery.

Install the new battery.

If you removed the PCI riser board assembly in step 3, reinstall it. Refer to
“Installing an Expansion Board” in Chapter 3, “Installing Hardware Options.”

Reverse the procedures performed in the “Accessing Internal Server
Components” section in Chapter 3, “Installing Hardware Options.”

Run the ROM-Based Setup Utility to reconfigure the system with the new
battery. See Chapter 5, “Server Configuration and Utilities.”
