Before removing the touchpad, follow these steps:

1.

Prepare the computer for disassembly (see

Preparation for disassembly on page 29

2.

Remove the top cover/keyboard (see

Top cover/keyboard on page 29

).

Remove the touchpad:

1.

Release the shielding material (1) that covers the top edge of the TouchPad.

2.

Detach the TouchPad cable (2) from the keyboard/top cover. (The TouchPad cable is attached to the
keyboard/top cover with double-sided adhesive.)
