DIMM installation guidelines
:
All DIMMs must be DDR3 registered memory modules (R-DIMMs)
All four DIMM slots in a memory bank must be populated. For each CPU, the memory banks are designated as follows: first bank
consists of pairs A and B, second bank consists of pairs C and D and the third bank consists of pairs E and F.
Banks must be populated in sequential Alphabetic order, starting with bank A and B for CPU0, followed by banks A and B for
CPU1, etc.
All four DIMMs in a memory bank must be identical. Install identical DIMMs in quads, starting with DIMM pairs A and B CPU0.
DIMMs must be installed in decreasing capacity with the largest DIMMs installed in the smallest numbered DIMM slot.
