2 Troubleshooting
This chapter describes how to use the pmux_diag diagnostic utility. It also describes how to
troubleshoot the terminal, printers, and modem installation problems after the ports are configured
and enabled.

The pmux_diag Utility
The pmux_diag utility is a stand-alone program that supports diagnostic operations. All diagnostic
operations are supported by the pmux_diag utility in the current release.
Starting pmux_diag Utility
To start the pmux_diag utility, complete the following steps:
1.
Log in to the system as super user.
2.
Run the following command at the command prompt:
$ /usr/bin/pmux_diag
3.
Press Enter. The main menu displays the following options:

Driver Status
•
Port Status
•
Diagnostics
•
Quit
The pmux_diag Utility Conventions
lists the conventions used to run the pmux_diag utility.
