Installing and Configuring the Core Switch 2/64

Core Switch 2/64 V4.1 Installation Guide

■

Ensure that two dedicated electrical branch circuits with the following
characteristics are available for use:

— 200 to 240 VAC, 50 - 60 Hertz.

— Protected by a circuit breaker in accordance with local electrical codes.

— Supply circuit, line fusing, and wire size that are adequate according to

the electrical rating on the chassis nameplate.

— Grounded outlets installed by a licensed electrician and compatible with

the power cords.

— Located close to the 14U HP StorageWorks Core Switch 2/64 chassis and

easily accessible.

Note:

To maximize fault tolerance, connect each power cord to a separate power

source.

■

Ensure the HP StorageWorks Core Switch 2/64 has access to a minimum
airflow of 350 cubic feet per minute.

■

Ensure the air temperature measured at the blower inlet does not exceed 40
degrees Celsius during operation.
