Measurement Pins :
The m easurement pins are spring-loaded and press against the contacts of a test
fixture or the contact pads of a personp.lity board attached to a wafer prober.

ELECTRICAL CONTACT AND DEGRADE M EASUREMENT
ACCURACY.
Pin Board Fail Indicators :
These indicators light in a sequential pattern during the RELAY 'TEST. If the
test detects a defective pin board, the indicator on the defective board will '
flash off and on, as will the FAIL lamp on the 4084A.

SWITC HING MATRIX CONTROLLER Connector:

Thirty-six pin connector for interconnecting the 4084A and 4085A.
Vm PORTS 1 and 2 :
These B N C connectors are the ports for the voltage monitors (Vml and Vm2) of
the 4l45A.
Vs PORTS

and 2:
These B N C connectors are the ports for the voltage sources (VsI and Vs2) of
the 4145A.
lS078A Adapter :
The
I
S078A converts the 4085A's Kelvin-type ports into a configuration that
is
com patible with the SMUs of the 4145A. SMUs I through 4 of the 4145A
connect directly to the PORT
I
through PORT 4 connectors. Refer to
paragraph 2-8.
To I S078A ADAPTER Connectors :
The upper four triaxial connectors are the ports for the SMUs of the 4145A.
Note, however, that the SMUs cannot be connected directly to these
connectors. The IS078A
CV
m ust be used. The bottom two connectors-one
trixial, one coaxial-are not for 4085M applications.
OUTPUT E N ABLED Indicator :
This LED lamp lights when the FIXTURE CLOSED D ETECT switch

or the
WAFER PROBER SENSE switch

is actuated. When this lamp is lit, the
program m ed connections between the specified m easurement pins and ports are
made.
