Tiger 8 MT with twin levelling discs
The outer discs must be removed for transport
on public roads not to exceed the maximum
permitted transport height.
NOTE
¾
Move the levelling discs again to working
position before use in the field.
Maintenance
Bearings are oil-filled and therefore maintenance
free.
Levelling discs
¾
Check the discs regularly for clearance, leak
tightness of the bearings and true running.
Notes on servicing
The mechanical seals are sensitive if water has
entered the bearing, followed by an extended
idle period.
Rust will develop and both mechanical seal rings
may stick together. The mechanical seal rings
can then rotate around the O-ring and damage
it. Oil may escape and damage the bearing after
a short time of use.
¾
Do not wash the bearing points with a high
pressure cleaner.
¾
Spray the bearing locations with a rust dis-
solver before extended idle periods.
¾
Rotate the discs by hand and check for free
running before commissioning.
