Seed on Demand system
Seed on Demand means demand oriented con-
tinuous refilling of seeds from the central hopper
(2000 litre) to the single grain metering units.
This means that the drill units do not require
their own drill unit.
The metering units (Seed on Demand elbow)
only require a small seed provision at a time.
A specially adapted pneumatic system continu-
ously delivers missing grains, on demand.
The necessary fan air is generated by a dedi-
cated fan.
The air flow is directed to the Seed on Demand
distributor below the single grain hopper.
Here the air flow picks up the grains from the
central hopper and directs these to the single
grain metering units, whenever required.
Seed on Demand distributor (open)
All hoses, connections and Seed on Demand
distributor must be leaktight and firmly mounted.
Air leaks lead to drilling and metering errors!
Fault messages in E-Manager may be caused
by air losses in the Seed on Demand system or
in the vacuum area!
NOTE
¾
Check the screen for cleanliness before start-
ing work, clean if necessary! No seed may
collect under the screen.
Changing the screen
There are 2 different screens available for dif
-
ferent types of fruit:
sugar beet
sorghum
rape
Ø1 mm
maize
sun flower
soy beans
Ø 3 mm
¾
Use the correct screen for the fruit in question.
¾
Loosen the hand screws and open the flap
quickly.
¾
Change the screen, close the flap again and
tighten the hand screws.
¾
Clean the screen that is no longer used and
store it in the tool box.
Emptying residues / cleaning
Clean the Seed on Demand distributor once a
week during use.
Watch out for grains and foreign objects under
the grille. They may disturb the system and must
therefore be absolutely removed
When the hopper is full a gate valve can be
pushed into the outlet funnel. Now the distrib-
utor can be opened by the two handle screws
for inspection, cleaning or emptying.
¾
For emptying, place a container underneath
and quickly open the flap. Grains may fall
underneath the screen when opening the flap
too slowly.
