WARNING
Risk of injuries during maintenance work

Please observe the safety notes on care and
maintenance!
¾
Turn off the tractor and machine and secure
it against reactivation. Lock manual control
units in the locked position.
¾
Secure the machine against lowering and
unexpected movements.
¾
Staying under raised machine parts is pro-
hibited. Secure raised machine parts against
dropping.
¾
Perform maintenance work on raised wings
only when the hydraulic cylinders of the wings
have been secured with aluminium clips and
the wings have been lowered onto the clips.
¾
The pneumatic system components may
come into contact with dressed seed and
fertiliser. Wear personal protective outfit when
cleaning; avoid contact with the escaping
exhaust air.
¾
Secure machine parts against falling when
dismantling them.
Your machine has been designed and built to
offer maximum performance, economy and
operator friendliness under a vast variety of
operating conditions.
Before delivery the machine was inspected at
the factory and by your dealer to make sure
that it is in optimal condition. For trouble-free
operation it is very important to carry out the
necessary work for care and maintenance at
the recommended intervals.
Cleaning
When performing cleaning work you should
always wear the necessary protective outfit to
protect your health and safety.
NOTE
¾
Do not clean electrical components, all hy-
draulic cylinders and bearings with a high
pressure cleaner or a direct water jet. Hous-
ings, screw fittings and bearings are not
waterproof under high pressure.
¾
Clean the outside of the machine with water.
¾
Empty and disassemble the metering unit,
clean with air and brush and check for wear.
¾
Open the cover on the drill frame and clean
out thoroughly with compressed air. The
frame serves the purpose of a vacuum dis-
tributor, seed and dressing residues may
therefore be present.
¾
Clean seed hopper and downpipes with com-
pressed air and brush.
¾
When using solid fertiliser clean and rinse the
components thoroughly. These substances
are highly aggressive and can cause corro-
sion.
