CHAPTER 4: CONFIGURATION 12-5-97 PAGE 26
5.
Pressing the FUNC/DATA key will show the current value of P00, and allow the user to change it if
necessary.
6.
The bottom line of the display will flash between the allowable data range (in this case
0~255
) and
the prompt
STORE > F/D KEY
. The current value of the parameter is shown on the third line (in this
case 0). Pressing the cursor keys (UP, DOWN or >>) causes the new value to change. See the Drive
User's Manual for detailed instructions on keypad data entry operation. In this case, pressing the UP key
will cause the new value to increment, and move the current stored value from the third line to the second
line, as shown below:
Because option parameter P00 was just edited, option parameter P01 is now highlighted.
It is important to note that the keypad will allow a larger data value to
be input than is legal for a given parameter. Option parameters with
Illegal data values will be flagged by the option card when drive
control is transferred from the keypad to the option card.

Option Function Codes (DeviceNet
Communication)
4.2.1
Before the inverter can be used, the DeviceNet
address, baud rate, format, and optional
control and status parameter word index must be configured. A keypad is required for setting these
configuration parameters.
Note: Any change made to an Option Function Code to affect DeviceNet
operation will not take place until after a power-cycle.
Set P00 - Network Fault indicator [ 0-Enable, 255-Disable ]
Set P01 - Station Id [ 0-63 ]
DeviceNet
allows addressing of up to 64 different bus addresses. Address 0 is usually reserved
for the scanner (Master) and address 62 is usually reserved for the on-line configuration program.
Setting of the address is only available through the keypad.
Note: Care must be taken not to assign the same address to different devices on
the same network. The “Duplicate MAC ID Check” will cause duplicate addressed
devices to stay in the “Critical Link Failure” state.
