Mounting and Connection Instructions Viewguard PIR / AM FAI
7.2.1 Environmental conditions
7.2.2 Mounting site
Under extreme (weather) conditions, such as a long and persistent
heat wave, the PIR function may be impaired for physical reasons.
If
are to be expected, we recommend the installa-
tion of
with overlapping detection coverage.
* Maximum sensitivity is achieved when mounted crosswise to the
horizontal detection zones of the PIR sensors. Therefore, select a
mounting site that runs crosswise to the expected direction of moti-
on (see Fig. 2).
* Motion detectors shall be positioned towards the room to be moni-
tored with an unobstructed line of vision.
* The area 30 cm in front of and 30 cm under the detector must be
clear.

Planning guidelines
When determining the place and type of installation as
well as the mounting height, chapter 6. "Detection co-
verage" must be observed in any case!

6.2.1 Important retrofitting notes
PIR detectors can be retrofitted to curtain or long-range optics quite
easily on site. For this purpose, only the mirror optics must be
replaced (the mirrors are available as accessories, see chapter 11).
The planning guidelines according to chapter 7.2. must be adhered to
when determining the place of installation.
The following data and detection coverage diagrams refer
to the recommended mounting height of 2.50 m.
Deviations in the mounting height affect the detection
coverage. The detection coverage must always be verified
by means of a walk test.

Press the notch (at the bottom in the
middle, see Fig. 1-
) slightly inward.
Press off the front of the housing.
Lift off the housing front.
in reverse order. Ensure that the housing
is closed correctly and locked into
position.
Do not insert the seal to lock the housing
until installation is completed.
