SIDE STAND
Refer to the Safety Precautions on page 40.
Check the “Side Stand Spring” (1) for
damage and loss of tension, and the side
stand assembly for freedom of movement.
If the side stand is squeaky or stiff, clean
the pivot area and lubricate the pivot bolt
with clean engine oil.

WHEEL REMOVAL
Refer to the Safety Precautions on page 40.
(For ABS only)
When removing and installing the wheel,
be careful not to damage the wheel speed
sensor and pulser ring.
Front Wheel Removal
1. Place the vehicle on its center stand.
2. Raise the front wheel off the ground
by placing a support block under the
engine.
3. Remove the “Front Axle Nut” (1).
4. Loosen the “Axle Pinch Bolt” (2)
5. Remove the “Front Axle Shaft” (3) and
the wheel.
