BATTERY
Refer to the Safety Precautions on Page 44.
If the scooter is operated with insufficient
battery electrolyte, sulfation and battery
plate damage will occur.
If rapid loss of electrolyte is experienced,
or if your battery seems to be weak, causing
slow starting or other electrical problems,
see your Honda dealer.

WARNING
The battery contains sulfuric acid
(electrolyte) which is highly corrosive and
poisonous.
Getting electrolyte in your eyes or on your
skin can cause serious burns.
Wear protective clothing and eye protection
when working near the battery.
KEEP CHILDREN AWAY FROM THE
BATTERY
Emergency Procedures
Eyes–Flush with water from a cup or other
container for at least fifteen minutes (Water
under pressure can damage the eye).
Immediately call a physician.
Skin – Remove contaminated clothing.
Flush the skin with large quantities of water
Call a physician immediately.
Swallowing – Drink water or milk. Call a
physician immediately.
BATTERY ELECTROLYTE
The battery (1) is behind the front center
cover.
1.
Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Remove the front center cover (Ref.
page 30).
3. Check the electrolyte level with the
scooter in an upright position on level
ground. The electrolyte level must be
maintained between the UPPER (2) and
LOWER (3) level marks on the side of
the battery.
