SERVICING

Wheels are secured in the front forks and rear drop outs (where the back wheel attaches to the frame).

Wheels are true with the hubs correctly adjusted and free from side play.

Both front and rear brakes function correctly and the wheel rims are free from dirt.

Steering is free with no excess play.

The tires (whether rubber or plastic) are in good condition and directly inflated to the correct PSI shown on the tires.

All nuts and bolts are secured and set to correct tightness.

The saddle height and handlebars are secure, set to a comfortable riding position and do not exceed the minimum insertion mark. The rider when seated

should be able to reach the floor with their tip toes and beable to reach the brakes and handlebars without over balancing. Ensure all controls (brakes, pedals

etc.) are within reach from your riding position.

The brake levers should be at the correct angle (usually 45 degrees from the horizontal) so you can reach and operate them safely.

Check the chain tension. If the chain is too loose, the performance will suffer and the chain may come off the cogs.

To tighten the  chain, simply undo the axle nuts on the rear wheel and move the axle back in the rear frame stay drop outs before making sure that the axle

nuts are re-tightened correctly. If this does not work when the chain may need to be shortened.

Your bicycle has been manufactured to comply with the requirements of CPSC bike regulations: 16 CFR part 1512 & ISO 8098 2014. The standards cover

all points of safety for bicycles designed for use as a leisure mode of transport. For your bike to comply to the Safety standard it is essential that it is regularly

lubricated, maintained and adjusted. The bicycle has not been designed for competition riding in anyway, neither does the standard cover such use. Using

the bicycle in this way will invalidate the manufacturer’s warranty. Your bicycle is mechanical object and is therefore subject to wear and high stresses.

Different materials and components may react to wear and stress in different ways.

If the design life of the component has been exceeded, there is a chance it may fail and cause injuries to the rider.
