Mounting
For installation of the device in the door frame it has
to be mounted in the side part of the frame.
To be able to use the entire scope of functions of the
passage sensor, horizontal mounting of the device in
a mounting hight of 80 to 120 cm is recommended.
However, operation of the device is not limited to this
mounting height.
Triggering of the sensors by pets can be avoided only
in case of a mounting hight from at least 80 cm.
You can use the passage sensor also in corridors or
staircases. Therefore, adjust the sensor parameters in
the Homematic IP app or Homematic WebUI.
To reduce the risk of a false alarm being triggered, the
device must not be exposed to incident light e.g.
caused by sunlight or car headlights, nor must it be
mounted in the vicinity of a heat source (above a radi-
ator, for example).
The effectiveness of the detection procedure de-
pends on the temperature difference between the
moving object and the relevant background.
