Changing the batteries
The batteries of the weather data sensor have a service life of up to 2
years (alkaline batteries). If the sensor is operated in data retrieval mode,
the batteries can achieve a service life of up to approximately 1 year.
If the symbol indicating that a battery is empty (
) appears on the re-
ception station (e.g. Homematic Central Control Unit or Homematic Wire-
less Weather Data Sensor) when the device is selected or if the device
LED
(J)
briefly flashes red several times after pushing the system button
(K)
during system startup, please replace the batteries.
To replace the batteries, proceed as follows:
•
Release the cap of the main sensor
(C)
by turning the cylinder
clockwise and pushing it downwards.
•
Remove the empty batteries from the battery compartment
(L)
.
•
Insert three 1.5 V LR6/mignon/AA batteries into the battery com-
partment
(L)
observing the correct polarity (as indicated by the
markings).
•
Close the housing again by pushing it upwards and turning it anti-
clockwise until it locks into place.
Contact with batteries that are dead or damaged can cause skin
irritation. Use protective gloves in this case.
Never recharge standard batteries. Do not throw the batteries into
a fire. Do not expose batteries to excessive heat. Do not short-cir
-
cuit batteries. Doing so will present a risk of explosion.
Always replace all batteries in the device and use batteries of the
same type/from the same manufacturer only. Do not mix batteries
with rechargeable batteries.
Used batteries should not be disposed of with regular dome-
stic waste! Instead, take them to your local battery disposal
point.
