Maintaining the Internal Floating Battery
To conserve the floating battery when not in use, the skeye.pos mobile should
always be stored with a charged battery fitted!
Otherwise the power reserves in the floating battery will be consumed.
Discharged floating batteries must be replaced by qualified service personnel.
If the battery is unlocked, the internal floating battery supplies the RAM with voltage
for 3 minutes. This ensures that the RAM is not deleted during this time and that it is
possible to change the battery while the RAM is in use. After you switch on the
skeye.pos mobile, you can continue working from the same point.
The internal floating battery requires no maintenance. The skeye.pos mobile
automatically charges the internal floating battery. If the
skeye.pos mobile is not placed on a desktop cradle for an extended period, the
internal floating battery is charged from the battery.

Disposing of Old Batteries
Old batteries as well as device storage batteries must not be disposed of with your
household waste. Consumers are obliged to return batteries to a suitable collection
point (trade, municipality). Device batteries can be returned to Höft & Wessel after
use at no cost as well. Old batteries may contain heavy metals or harmful
substances that may cause damage to environment and to health. Batteries are
reusable. They contain important raw materials like iron, zinc, manganese, and
nickel.
Höft & Wessel (address see chapter 11.3, page 93) guarantees that all batteries
returned are fed to the recycling process.
