(5) Presser foot
- holds the fabric against the feed dogs. Use the presser foot
lifter to lower the presser foot before sewing or to raise it before removing
the fabric.
(6) Needle plate
- located under the presser foot, it hides the feed dogs. It
is flat to facilitate fabric movement during sewing.
(7) Pull-out extension bed with accessory compartment
- provides a larger
surface around the arm of the machine to support fabric during sewing. It
can be removed to access the free arm, making it possible to sew smaller,
more hard-to-reach areas, such as pant or sleeve hems. The bed includes a
handy compartment for storing accessories.
(8) Bobbin winding stopper
- used during winding the bobbin.
(9) Power on/off and speed control switch
- used to turn the machine on and
off. The slider also has the settings “L” (low speed) and “H” (high speed).
(10) Pattern selector dial
- used for setting the required stitch type. There
are 16 settings available. The selected setting is displayed at the top. Just
turn the dial to the stitch you want and sew.

Changing the stitch
type may involve changing the foot.
(11) Presser foot release lever
- located at the back of the presser foot
holder. It is used to remove the presser foot from the presser foot holder.
(12) Needle
- mounted in the needle holder. It is required during sewing.
(13) Needle clamp screw
- holds the needle firmly in place during sewing.
(14) Presser bar
- holds the presser foot and the presser foot holder. Use
the presser foot lifter to raise and lower it.
(15) Presser foot holder
- attached to the presser bar. It holds the presser
foot during sewing.
(16) Presser foot screw
- located to the left of the presser foot holder. It is
used to secure the presser foot holder in position on the presser bar.
(17) Feed dogs
- move the fabric under the presser foot.
(18) Bobbin cover plate
- covers the bobbin and the bobbin case. It is
transparent, so that the remaining amount of thread is visible.
(19) Bobbin cover plate release switch
- located to the right of the bobbin
cover plate. Press it to release the cover plate in order to change the bobbin.
(20) Spool pin
- holds the thread spool. The spool pin holder fixed onto the
spool pin allows thread to unwind without tugging or dragging. The spool
pin can be used in two ways (horizontally or vertically), depending on the
thread spool size.
