SKIN TYPE CHARACTERISTICS
Type I
Celtic
• hair light blonde or red
• eyes light blue, grey or green
• skin very fair, often freckled, very sensitive;
this type also includes persons suffering
from vitiligo, losing their skin pigment (al-
binos)
Type II
European Fair
• hair light or dark blonde to light brown
• eyes blue, grey or green
• skin fair, sometimes freckled, sensitive, with
a propensity for discoloration and moles
Type III
European Dark
• hair dark blonde to brunette
• eyes blue, grey or brown
• skin fair to tan
Type IV
Mediterranean
• hair dark
• eyes dark brown
• skin swarthy, tan
Type V • hair dark, black
• eyes dark
• swarthy and dark brown skin; this type in-
cludes persons with Arabic and Asian an-
cestry and multiracial people (mulattos,
mestizos)
Type VI • hair black
• eyes dark brown or black; this type includes
persons with African ancestry

26. Warning! Contraindications for using the device:
• DO NOT USE on naturally dark skin.
• DO NOT USE on tanned skin after exposure to the sun or after using a sunbed.
• DO NOT USE the device near the eyes, nose, chin, ears or on the forehead.
• DO NOT USE the device on white, grey or blonde hair.
• DO NOT USE if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• DO NOT USE if you had long-term exposure to the sun or UV light in the last 28
days.
• DO NOT USE if you have a tattoo or permanent makeup on the treatment area.
• DO NOT USE if you have varicose veins on your legs or other areas.
