Step 3. Input and Output Data Size
To change the input size, i.e. the amount of data that is transferred out on the CANopen network from
the other fieldbus, the CANopen object 3000h has to be changed and saved during CANopen configu-
ration. To change the output size, i.e. the amount of data that is transferred from the CANopen network
to the other fieldbus, the CANopen object 3001h has to be changed and saved. This is done in the ex-
ample below using the CANopen Configurator from PORT. Another configuration tool can of course
be used.

To set Input Size, select tab “Objects” and click on object 3000 in the list. You can see that the
default value is 10h (16 decimal). Enter a new value in the box “Parameter Value” and press the bu-
ton “Change Parameter Value in DCF File”. The value is downloaded and stored in the concise DCF
file of the module during configuration.

Repeat for output data, but select object 3001h in the list.
