Using the OMNIKEY 5121 Ethernet Encoder Utility
The OMNIKEY 5121 Ethernet Encoder Utility application is used to install and configure individual
instances of the OMNIKEY 5121 Ethernet Encoder device. This utility will start automatically upon
completion of the OMNIKEY 5121 Ethernet Driver installation program (unless the auto-start option is
disabled by the user).
To manually start the OMNIKEY 5121 Ethernet Encoder Utility click on the associated icon found in the
OMNIKEY folder in the Start Menu.
The OMNIKEY 5121 Ethernet Encoder Utility will display the following window.

OMNIKEY 5121 Ethernet Encoder Device Installation
To install a new OMNIKEY 5121 Ethernet Encoder device go to
Encoder > Add New Encoder
.
Each OMNIKEY 5121 Ethernet Encoder device may be configured in one of three modes:
1.
Fixed IP Address Mode
2.
Fixed Printer Name Mode
3.
Dynamic IP Address Mode
