3. Placing it onto the vehicle seat
The MaxiFix PLUS child car seat is tested and approved under
the European Standard for Child Restraint Systems ECE
44/04. You will find the certification mark with the registra-
tion number on the back of the seat, see orange label.
If the front passenger seat is in use, please push it back as
far as possible and follow the instructions in your vehicle
manual.
Do not use vehicle seats, which are arranged to side ways.
These seats are not permitted to use for child car seats.
If the rear facing vehicle seats is approved to carry adults
(e.g. in a van or minibus), the use of the child car seat is per-
mitted. The seat must not be affected by an airbag.
In the case of a front airbag, push the seat as far back as
possible. Observe the instructions in the vehicle manual.
Application is not permited if only a 2-point harness is used.
NOTE
: NOTE: The child seat must ALWAYS be fastened with
the vehicle seat belt even when not in use. This also applies
when the seat is connected to the ISOFIX system. In the event of an emergency stop or impact,
an unfastened seat may injure you or other passengers.
Luggage and other similar objects should be stored away and properly secured! In case of an
accident, these could become hazards and can injure you and your child.
Never leave your child unattended in the car.
2. Connecting the backrest to the booster seat
The seat consists of a seat cushion and a back with headrest. Only the
combination of the two parts offer maximum protection.
WARNING: The parts of the MaxiFix PLUS must not be used individually
or in conjunction with parts or headrests from other manufacturers or
ranges. The license expires immediately in this case.
Lay down the booster (fig.2) on the floor and the backrest (fig.1) flat right
behind. Then thread the connecting hooks (A) on the bottom of the back-
rest into the fitting holes (B) on the back of the booster with a firm dow-
nwards motion. Now bring the backrest slowly upright, 90°to the booster.
The connecting hooks should now slip into the fitting holes with an audible
sound. As the result the backrest should be well fixed to the booster in the
upright position. It must not slip away now. Otherwise you may not have
fixed it very well an using it would be dangerous. In this case please repeat
the first steps of this part of the instruction.
Caution: always make sure that the parts are firmly mounted. The Items must not get jammed
in by e.g. the vehicle door.
