off the COOL mode
The device is switched on and runs in continu-
ous mode.
Switching the device off
NOTICE! Before the device can be switched off
completely, it must be operated for a few
minutes with the COOL mode deactivated to pre-
vent a congestion of water.

a) Deactivate the

After a few minutes: Press the “ON/OFF” button
on the control panel or
POWER
button on the
remote control.
The status indicator on the control panel
goes out.
c) Drain the water tank by opening the water drain.
The device is switched off.
Operation with an external humidity switch
(optional)
To switch the device on and off automatically, an
external humidity switch can be connected in series
to the mains power supply.
When the humidity switch is triggered, the device will
switch off during normal operation. The device will
then switch on again automatically and operation
continues as normal with the same settings.
If the TIMER function is activated, the device will
switch to standby mode when the humidity switch is
triggered.

Malfunctions
For troubleshooting malfunctions, observe the fol-
lowing general rules :
– All work must be carried out by trained and au-
thorised technicians.
– Interventions may only be carried out by the
manufacturer or by persons authorised by the
manufacturer during the statutory warranty peri-
od.
a) Wear suitable protective clothing.
b) Before restarting the device, install all safety
devices as they were attached at the factory.
c) Check that the safety devices are working
properly.
d) After completing the tasks, remove all tools and
objects from the working area around the de-
vice.
Safety instructions regarding malfunctions
DANGER
Danger to life from electric shock
Touching live parts can be fatal.
a) Before carrying out any work on electrical com-
ponents, disconnect the power plug from the
socket.
CAUTION
Danger due to missing guards
Missing safety covers can lead to injuries.
a) Before switching on the device, install all
guards that may have been removed for trou-
bleshooting.
b) Before switching on the device, check all safety
devices.

Restarting after an unscheduled
downtime
Power failure
After a power failure, the device must be switched
on again on the control panel or using the remote
control.
