CHAPTER 5 TROUBLESHOOTING
5.0 INTRODUCTION
This chapter introduces, when the HS2510-N hot melt applicator malfunctioned,
how to solve troubles and how to prevent the problems occurring again, and help the
customer to increase the efficient and lifetime of the applicator. Refer to Chapter 6,
when troubles take place and need detailed information for servicing or replacing
parts.
This chapter does not include some obvious problems, like cable out layer worn,
such general problems should be exercised in regular maintenance.
5.1 SAFETY PERCAUSTIONS
1.
Disconnect the external power supply before dismantling control panel or
removing the covers of any system or replacing electronic components, so to
prevent risks of personnel injury and damage to the equipment.
2. Do not try to disassemble any components of manifold, hose and gun assembly,
until the pressures on these system is completely relieved.
3. Before remove the protective lid of gear driving system, shut off the motor
power, make sure the motor is stopped, in order to avoid the finger being
clipped by the motor.
4. Always wear safety gloves, protecting glasses and long sleeved clothing, to
prevent from being burnt by molten adhesive or hot components surface.
5. Do not heat the glued components with open flame or a blowtorch. If it is
necessary to heat or clean, please use an electric oven with force air circulation or
a flameless electric heat gun.
6. Remove all jewelry (rings, watches, etc.) or any conductive items before
maintaining.
5.2 TROUBLESHOOTING ON MACHINERY & ELECTRIC SECTION
When the machine is malfunction, the cause may be in the structural parts and
electric and electronic control board, the following are possible causes for the failure
and fault exclusion measures.
