12. Procedure for Error Messages
If the status indicator is red, there is a
problem. As described in Section 6, the
status indicator displays three types of
errors:
Problems with the lamp
(Section 9, point 3a):
Possible cause: The lamp is defective.
Proceed as described in Section 10
(Replacing the UV lamp). If the lamp is
visibly intact, there is internal damage and
the lamp must be replaced.
Problems with the fan
(Section 9, point 3b):
Possible cause: The fan is defective or
blocked. Do not continue to operate the
device, otherwise it may overheat. The
device can no longer operate and must be
disposed of.
Device is overheated
(Section 6, point 3c):
Possible cause: The ambient temperature is
too high. Turn off the device and wait for it
to cool down. If the problem persists after
switching it on again and even at a lower
temperature, it could be because 2: the
honeycomb grilles in front of the fan motor
are clogged with dust and lint. Remove dust
and lint from the honeycomb grid as
described in section 11, point 2.
Procedure in case the device has fallen to
the ground:
a.Put the device back on the table.
b.If the top lid has cracked off, put it back
on.
c.Check whether the housing below the air
intake slot is still firmly connected to the
upper part. If part of the housing is loose,
internal structures are broken and the
device should no longer operate. It must
be disposed of.
d.If the device connector has been pulled
out of the socket, plug it back in.
e.Turn on the device. If the status display
changes from green to blue, the device is
intact and can continue to operate.
f.However, if the status indicator changes to
red, the device should no longer be
operated and must be disposed of.
