Draining of the tank
The water tank should be drained after each use. This action will reduce the possible build-up with time of lime
deposits on the inner surface of the tank. The tank is drained as follows (see picture).
1. Remove the drain hose from its support (located behind the heater, on the side of the tank).
NOTE! The plug at the end of the hose has an open hole through which the water flows when the hose is
lowered.
2. Bring the hose out by the side of the heater and place a bowl with a capacity of at least 5 litres under the drain
hose.
NOTE! If the tank is drained right after using the sauna, it has to be noted that the water is burning hot, also
the drain hose can be hot.
3. Preparing for sauna heater installation
THE PERSON WHO INSTALLS THE HEATER SHOULD LEAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE SAME PLACE
FOR SUBSEQUENT USERS.
Check the following before installing the sauna heater:
-
The heater's output (kW) in relation to the sauna room's volume (m
3
). The table 2 on page 12 contain
information about the recommended dimensions for the sauna heater's output. The minimum and
maximum volume must not be exceeded.
-
The sauna room height must be at least 1900 mm.
-
A masonry wall without heat insulation increases the preheating time. Each square meter of
plastered ceiling or wall surface adds 1,2 m
3
to the sauna room's volume.
-
Check table 1 on page 11 for the size of fuse (A) and power cable (mm²) suitable for the heater.
-
Check that the safety clearance around the sauna heater is sufficient.
-
There must be sufficient room, i.e. so-called maintenance access around the sauna heater's control
devices. The doorway can also be regarded as a maintenance access.
3.1. Installing the heater
Follow the safety clearance specifications on page 12, table 2. when installing the sauna heater. Thin panel is not a
suitable mounting base. The mounting base must be reinforced with timber behind the panel. The minimum
clearances specified on page 12 must be followed also in case the sauna room wall materials are incombustible.
Walls or ceilings must not be clad with fibre-reinforced plaster board or other light-weight cladding, because they may
cause a fire hazard.
A single sauna heater is allowed per a sauna room.
