Changing the rechargeable battery:
Changing the rechargeable battery according to requirements is recommended to keep the lighting
strength. Only use rechargeable batteries, type AA, Ni-MH 1.2 V 600A. The use of other rechargeable
batteries can lead to damage being caused.
The battery compartment is on the lower side of the solar unit. Remove the light housing from the holder
and turn the solar unit counter clockwise from the light housing. Open the battery compartment.
Remove the old rechargeable batteries. Place the new rechargeable batteries into the battery
compartment. Make sure you have the right polarity for the rechargeable battery. Close the housing and
make sure that it has a proper seating.
Reassemble the light housing with the holder.
Starting up
The light is equipped with 3 switching positions.
"ON" position: The lights starts to switch on in the twilight: it switches off again as daylight increases.
"PIR" position: 1 LED lights up permanently. An additional 9 LEDs are switched on during darkness and
when the sensor is approached. The system is switched back to the starting situation after 15 seconds
without any approximation or movement.
"OFF" position: The light is completely switched off, the batteries are charged.
Move the switch to the "OFF" position to switch off the light.
Setting up the light
Take the solar light and the accessories carefully out of the packaging.
Place the garden light at the selected place by following the safety and warning notes. Make sure, after
positioning, that the garden light is securely connected to the base. Watch during installation out for
possible places where people could stumble and trip up.
Look for a suitable place with direct sun light when the unit is being charged up for the first time.
Make sure that the sun shines directly onto the solar unit of the solar LED light. Shadows falling onto the
solar unit have a negative effect on the charging function of the rechargeable battery.
The solar light must be charged up over 2 sunny days for it to reach its optimum performance. We
recommend that the decorative solar llight unit is played in the sun for 3 days and the switch is placed in
the OFF position. The lighting intensity can vary according to season of the year. More light will shine if it
has been a sunny day than on a dull/overcast day.
Remember the range and position of the movement detector.
