NASIM REAR DIRECT VENT DECORATIVE GAS APPLIANCE

RESTRICTIONS

In the United States:

WARNING!

This conversion kit is to be installed by a qualified service technician in accordance with the manufacturers

installation instructions and all codes and requirements of the authority having jurisdiction. Failure to follow

the instructions could result in a fire, explosion or production of carbon monoxide causing property damage,

serious injury or loss of life. The qualified agency performing this work assumes responsibility for proper

installation of this kit. The installation is not proper and complete until the operation of the converted appliance

is checked as specified in the installation instructions supplied with the kit.

In Canada:

The conversion shall be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the provincial authorities

having jurisdiction and in accordance with the requirements of the CAN1-B149.1 and .2 installation code.

Step 1.

Open the control access panel so you can observe the control area of the gas appliance. See Figure 29 below.

Step 2. Turn off Gas and Electrical Power

To turn off gas, locate the manual shutoff valve in

the control area in the bottom of the appliance. See

Figure 29above. Turn the manual shutoff valve so it

is perpendicular to the gas line. See Figure 30.
If electricity has been brought to the appliance for a

fan or remote control, shut off all power by turning

off the appropriate circuit breaker or removing the

fuse at the electrical panel.
