The left and right displays can show the approxi-

mate total number of calories you have burned and

total number of miles the walking belt has moved.

To see the total number of miles and calories,

press the Total button. The total number of calories

will be shown in hundreds of calories. For example,

if the display shows a 3, you have burned approxi-

mately 300 calories. To view the number of calo-

ries and miles for the current exercise session,

press the Trip button.

You can change the volume level by pressing the

Volume increase and decrease buttons. To mute

the volume, press the Volume decrease button

until only one bar appears in the display.

As you exercise, the workout intensity meter will in-

dicate the approximate intensity level of your exer-

cise. For example, if five of the indicators in the

meter are lit, you are exercising at a medium inten-

sity level.

To reset the displays, press the Stop button, re-

move the key, and then reinsert the key.

6. Measure your heart rate if desired.

Before using

the handgrip

pulse sensor,

remove the

sheets of clear

plastic from the

metal contacts.

In addition,

make sure that

your hands are clean.

To measure your heart rate,

stand on the foot

rails

and hold the metal contacts—

avoid moving

your hands.

When your pulse is detected, one or

two dashes will appear and then your heart rate

will be shown. In addition, each time your pulse is

detected, a peak will appear in the line next to your

heart rate.

For the most accurate heart rate

reading, continue to hold the contacts for

about 15 seconds.

7. Turn on the fan if desired.

The fan features high, low, and auto speed set-

tings. Press the Fan button repeatedly to select a

fan speed or to turn off the fan. When the auto

mode is selected, the speed of the fan will auto-

matically increase and decrease as the speed of

the walking belt increases and decreases. Note: If

the fan is on when the walking belt is stopped, the

fan will turn off automatically after a few minutes.

The auto mode can only be selected while the

walking belt is moving.

8. When you are finished exercising, remove the

key from the console.

Step onto the foot rails, press the Stop button, and

adjust the incline of the treadmill to the lowest

setting. The incline must be at the lowest set-

ting when you fold the treadmill to the storage

position, or you may damage the treadmill.

Next, remove the key from the console and put it in

a secure place.

When you are finished using the treadmill, switch

the reset/off circuit breaker to the “off” position and

unplug the power cord.

IMPORTANT: If you do

not do this, the treadmillʼs electrical compo-

nents may wear prematurely.
