The safety strap is not intended to secure the Lightbar to the vehicle roof, it is purely a
safety device should the bar become detached
Installation Instructions:
▪
Ensure that the mounting surface, usually the vehicle roof, is clean and flat. The feet of the
Lightbar should be in full contact with the vehicle to ensure the correct force is applied by
the magnets
▪
Position the Lightbar on the vehicle ensuring that the feet are in full contact with the roof
so that the correct force is applied by the magnets. Route the two halves of the safety strap
between the magnets either end of the Lightbar
▪
Open the driver and
passengers’
doors and allow the straps and plastic blocks to drop inside
the vehicle, then close the doors
▪
Reach inside the vehicle and pull the straps down so that they lay flat across the roof
▪
Ensure the two rubbers rings on both sides of the strap are spaced evenly between the
edge of the roof and the Lightbar
