4. Application
Attaching the rechargeable battery:
• Insert the battery until it locks with a click.
• If it is not engaged, the battery can fall off the
tool, become destroyed and/or cause injury to
you or bystanders.
• The rechargeable battery is equipped with
a charge indicator. The "+" button and the
4-stage LEDs (green) are used to display the
remaining capacity and overheat protection.
• The remaining capacity and the overheat pro-
tection are indicated by a green LED when the
"+" button is pressed briefly.

Disconnecting the battery:
• Press the safety lock (blue) and pull off the
battery from the tool handle.
Before starting operation:
• Clean up the work area.
• Keep unauthorised persons out of the work
area.
• Ensure adequate lighting and ventilation in the
workplace.
• Make sure that the battery is properly installed
and locked into place.
Adjusting the direction of rotation:
• The direction of rotation is set by the reversing
switch.
CAUTION
The direction of rotation cannot be
altered when the impact wrench is
running. To change the direction of
rotation, you must stop the impact wrench and
then press the changeover switch to change
the direction of rotation.
Setting the torque stages
• Stage 1: the HAZET cordless impact wrench is
limited to 80 Nm of torque.
• Stage 2: the HAZET cordless impact wrench is
limited to 540 Nm of torque.
NOTE:
The torque limit only acts in the tighte-
ning direction. When disengaged, the
full power of the HAZET cordless
impact wrench takes effect.
ATTENTION
Every screw connection must be tightened
/checked with a suitable torque wrench
after these are tightened with the preset
torque. Tightening the screw only with the HAZET
cordless impact wrench is not permitted!
Operation:
• Press and hold down the control button. The
tool is running.
• Release the control button. The tool stops.
• The velocity/speed is infinitely controlled via
the control button. For low velocity/speed, the
control button is pressed a little, and pressed
more for higher velocity/speed.
Note:
• High operating noise level!
• Wear hearing protection!
Tighten screws and disconnect:
• To tighten and loosen a screw, attach a socket
that matches the screw size.
CAUTION
The screw can be tightened too much
and break when the screw is tighte-
ned too long.
• Always tighten the screw with the impact wrench
at a right angle to the screw.
• A slanted impact wrench may damage the
screw head and will not transmit the force to the
screw.
