- unscrew the cap and remove the plug (6)
- insert the drain hose into the top water outlet
- connect the other end of the drain hose to the drainage
system or a dish (Fig. 9)
CAUTION! The dish or the drainage system must be located below the out-
let (6).
CAUTION! Do not connect the drain hose to the bottom water outlet (10) –
condensed water plays an active part in the cooling of the appliance.
CLEANING, MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
CAUTION! Before cleaning and maintenance,
unplug the appliance from the mains outlet and
wait until it has completely cooled down. Never
immerse the appliance in water!
1.
Clean the housing with a damp cloth
and then wipe it dry. Use a gentle de-
tergent to remove persistent grime.
Do not use aggressive chemicals such
as benzene, alcohol, gasoline, etc. (risk
of damage to the housing or the entire
appliance).
2.
Clean the filters every 2 weeks or more
often if the air conditioner's efficiency
drops. The filters are installed beneath
the air intake grilles (8) and (13). Filter
cleaning procedure:
- Release the upper and lower air intake grilles (13) (8) from the latches on
the back of the air conditioner. Remove the filter (Fig. 10) from the back
of each air intake grille by gently prising the tabs (do this very carefully
or the filter / grille will be damaged).
- Clean the filters with a soft brush and a vacuum cleaner set to minimum
suction power. If the dirt is persistent, wash the filters in warm water
(max. 40°C) with some detergent, then rinse them clean and leave to dry.
- Install the filters in their respective air intake grilles and install the latter
in the air conditioner.
CAUTION! The filters must be completely dry before you reinstall them. Do not start the air
conditioner without the filters installed.
3.
Use the handles (5) when moving the appliance.
4.
The remote control requires two 1.5 V AAA batteries to work. Access the
batteries by unscrewing the screw and opening the battery compartment
on the bottom side of the remote control (Fig. 11). Mind the correct polarity and fit when
changing the batteries. Do not mix different types of batteries and/or spent batteries with
new batteries.
