9 Required tool and auxiliaries
For correctly assembly of the the individual press seal HRD you will need the following tools and
aids in addition to the usual tools:
1 Torque spanner 4-20 Nm
1 Extension 100 mm
1 Socket wrenches (as in Table 2)
1 Test pump, digital (Art. No.: 1551001121)
10 The following instructions are to be observed prior to installation of the
individual press seal HRD:
WARNING!
Risk of injury in the event of improper installation!
Improper installation can result in signifi cant bodily harm and property damage.
• Individual press seal HRD-PV assembly must comply with the relevant professional
association regulations, VDE provisions, national safety and accident prevention
regulations as well as company regulations (work and procedural instructions).
•
The nationally applicable laying and fi lling regulations for pipes and cables are
to be observed at all times.
• Prior to installing the press seal HRD-PV, any existing breaks or blowholes in the
cored hole have to be repaired.
• No cleaning agents containing solvent may be used to clean the press seal
HRD-PV. We recommend using cable cleaner KR M.T.X.
• Ensure that the cables/pipes are centred and horizontal in the core drilling/wall sleeve.

NOTE!
No sealing due to incorrect assembly!
Improper installation can result in damage.
• For one-sided installation of the press seal HRD into core drillings, seal from outside of buil-
ding .
• If installation is carried out correctly, it will not be necessary to tighten up the
screws.
• Any anticipated reductions must be compensated for by the installation of
centring guides and/or spacers in the liners or core drillings.
• It is important to protect the press seal from damage, moisture and impurities
during installation. Check that all necessary components have been delivered
and that they are not damaged. You must not install damaged components.
• Seal the underground and pipe substructure well prior to laying pipes/cables
so that the latter cannot subside.
