The Name Plate provides some options for the VCA master, such as renaming or removing
assignments from it, as shown in Figure 25 .

Channels or bus masters may be assigned to a VCA master by selecting the channel or bus
(clicking on it) and selecting "Assign Selected Channels". Conversely channels or buses may be
removed from VCA control by selecting "Drop Selected Channels". "Drop All Slaves" disconnects
ALL channels or bus masters assigned to the VCA master.
The "M" and "P" buttons are master mute and solo for all channels or bus masters assigned to
this VCA master. The "P" button will group solo all assigned channels or bus masters. The "M"
Button simultaneously mutes all channels or bus masters assigned to this VCA master. In both
cases the affected channels or masters will have their Mute or PFL buttons highlighted with a
colour ring when the function is active. This is shown for the Mute example in
Figure 26 .
