9. Remove finial (R), finial plate (Q) and rubber
washer from threaded rod at bottom of light kit
fitter (O).
Place white washer inside glass shade (P) over
center hole. Align center hole in the glass shade
(P) with threaded rod, allowing pull chains to
come through corresponding holes in glass shade
(P). Push up gently on glass shade (P) until
threaded rod comes through hole. Thread pull
chains through corresponding holes in finial plate
(Q) and center pull chain through hole in finial
(R). (
Align fan pull chain so that it does not rub
against bulbs when fan is in operation.
) Tighten
finial (R) to secure glass shade (P) to light kit fitter
(O). (Fig. 10)
Note:
Do not overtighten finial (R) as glass may
crack or break.

Install the two 13-watt max. compact fluorescent
bulbs (U) included. (Fig. 8)
CAUTION:
When replacing bulbs, please
allow bulbs and glass shade to cool down before
touching.
Attach pull chain extensions (I) supplied in one of
the hardware packs or custom pull chain
extensions (not included) to fan and light pull
chains. (Fig. 10)
NOTE:
This fan is remote control adaptable
(remote control not included). Any remote control
used with this fan MUST be UL-approved for
DAMP LOCATIONS.
